  • ATG has begun a group-wide restructuring, creating a new product department to refresh its online platform and wagering services.
  • Jesper Komstadius has been appointed Chief Product Officer and Therese Haeggblom Widmark is the new Chief Information Officer, with both joining the management team.
  • The operator plans to relaunch its flagship V75 Saturday racing pool on 28 November as part of the product overhaul, replacing the V85.

Swedish horse racing and sports betting operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) is undergoing a significant operational reorganisation, which began on 1 October 2026. The group-wide restructuring, led by acting Chief Executive Jörgen Forsberg, is designed to re-energise the company’s online betting platform and wagering services, with a particular focus on its core Swedish racing products.

New Product Focus

A central component of the new structure is the establishment of a dedicated product department. This new unit will be headed by Jesper Komstadius, who has been appointed to the new role of Chief Product Officer (CPO). Mr Komstadius joins ATG’s management team and will be responsible for the development of the operator’s digital products and services. His prior experience includes a role as Nordic Marketing Manager at Samsung.

The new department’s influence will be seen later this year, with ATG planning to relaunch an updated version of its flagship Saturday racing pool, V75, on 28 November. This enhanced product is set to replace the existing V85 pool. The change comes as Svensk Travsport, one of the organisations that owns ATG, undertakes its own review of the Saturday racing programme.

Technology and Commercial Leadership

Alongside the new product division, ATG has made a key change to its technology leadership. Therese Haeggblom Widmark has been appointed as the company's new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Her appointment follows the upcoming departure of the current CIO, Daniel Santikos, who is scheduled to leave ATG this autumn. Ms Haeggblom Widmark will also become a member of the company’s management team.

The wider restructuring will also impact the firm’s Commercial division, which is led by Katarina Widman. The company’s leadership team also includes Lotta Nilsson, who serves as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO.

ATG is owned by Sweden’s trotting and galloping sports organisations, Svensk Travsport and Svensk Galopp. The operator plays a crucial financial role for the sport, having handed over approximately SEK 2.3 billion to the two bodies last year. This contribution was funded by group revenue which totalled SEK 6 billion in 2025.
